Introduction
For our eighth grade projects we have decided to learn more about plants. We both find plants interesting and I had grown up with plants so I had some experience. We decided to do research on Native plants, go over photosynthesis, learn about an artist who was known for painting plants, and different ways to plant a plant. Plants are all around us and without them we wouldn’t be able to survive. It is very important to understand plants and learn how to work with them
Personal Narrative – Izabella
The reason I decided to do plants for my 8th-grade project was because that’s what I grew up with. Ever since I was little, my mom was known for her planting skills, she would teach me how to plant. We would go into the backyard and plant veggies, and fruits. She would also make wreaths and other unique crafts. So when deciding what I wanted to do I knew plants would be something I was familiar with.
Personal Narrative – Yanelli
My name is Yanelli and for my 8th grade project I chose plants. When I was younger, planting was one of my favorite things to do. My mom and I would go shopping for planting materials and when we got home we used what we bought to plant flowers. I liked to watch my mom plant the seeds in pots. At some point my mom asked me to help, and when I was helping her I found it was fun. I would help her make sure the plants were well cared for. When they would start to bloom my siblings and I would love to see how beautiful they became. Soon my younger sister wanted to help. Maybe one day my baby brothers will grow to love plants as much as I love them. Some of my favorite plants/flowers are orchids, roses, and sunflowers.
A Plant Explantion n
Plants are autographs, they are able to make their own food through photosynthesis. They are able to catch energy from green pigment inside the chloroplast and use carbon dioxide and water. They are labeled as producers. They are food for other organisms, including animals. Since plants are able to make their own food they do not need to feed off other animals to survive.
