Baseball – Silas

Bio

My 8th grade project is about baseball; the reason why I selected this is that I grew up playing baseball and liking it a lot. When I was probably 6 years old I started playing baseball; it was tee-ball. Then I started playing higher leagues. Playing little league was a great experience for me because of all the friends I made on the teams I was on. Playing baseball was not the only thing I did that had to do with baseball. I went to numerous baseball games at Banner Island Ballpark to watch the Stockton Ports and to the Oakland Coliseum to watch the Oakland A’s. Growing up here in Stockton has been a blast, all the places I have gone and doing this project have been fun. I cannot wait to teach you students about baseball.

Hitting a baseball.

In the classroom I will be teaching you how to hit a baseball. When you’re hitting a baseball you need to have strong arms and strong legs like throwing a ball. This video will teach you about what positions you need for hitting a ball.

Throwing a baseball.

In order to throw a ball with a lot of speed, you need to exercise to throw a harder ball. In the classroom I will not only be teaching you about the stances for throwing a ball I will help you do these exercises. Before I go into the classroom, do some exercises so it prepares you for the activities we will do in the classroom. You can do this in your home or outside, do things like squats, lunges, or high knees. Knowing how to throw the ball will help you when it comes to throwing strikes that can’t be hit.

If you want to succeed in baseball then you need to have a good, and healthy habit in order to stay in shape. First, you’re gonna need to eat healthy food, like fruits, vegetables, and other food. Another thing would be learning from your mistakes, losing a game or missing a play can affect you mentally but you need to learn from those. A very big thing to keep up is having enough sleep. Having enough sleep is key to being energetic. That is all the healthy habits you need to know about to succeed in baseball!

Thank you for checking out my website. I hope you learned something new about baseball.
