It all began with Jocelyn suggesting that we should do 1800s fashion in America and I thought that was a good idea so we told Jason that’s what we wanted to research.
I really like fashion and exploring different types of clothes. Although at school I normally wear hoodies I really like to go shopping or get dressed up on the weekends or on any break. I used to always wear band shirts but Jason made me realize if I’m going to wear a shirt of a rock band I should name at least 3 songs. Jocelyn and I wanted to learn more about fashion but instead since we already know what people wear in this generation we decided to research the 1800’s fashion to explore what types of clothes people wore back then and compare it to now.
For these past few weeks, Jocelyn and I have been researching 1800’s fashion as well as planning for our activity. We are planning on teaching the kids about fashion by having them make there own paper dolls and designing the clothes to match what men and women wore in the 1800’s. This gives them a perspective on how strict clothing rules were.
